Tackleway 2

This staging was a one day ‘drop’ of items working around the existing pieces in the 2 bedroom house in Tackleway Hastings before taking our pieces away again.

We added pieces to draw the eye in to the creative kitchen editing items that were already in place down to the bare minimum and bringing in a selection of midcentury, antique and modern.

Working quickly around a house before the photographer arrived in the early afternoon was no mean feat. We started by taking photographs of the original placements of items that we could refer to when replacing them at the end, unwrapped all our pieces, wrapped all the tenants pieces to keep them safe while the styling got underway and moving from room to room starting with the small kitchen diner that leads out into a small courtyard garden.

The Ercol table and chairs were already in place. We added a Danish copper coffee set to add warmth and brought in items to soften the area including the plant and lampshade, replacing the art on the wall to add a pop of colour that would compliment the door and work more cohesively with the hint of colour behind the fridge.

A rug was brought into the sitting room and atomic coffee table. A tree to add texture. Contemporary and mid-century smalls.

Bedrooms were sparse so we brought in a bold print and Cherner chair plus throws, cushions, new side table and smalls for the chest in one room.

A bold graphic poster was added to the small room to lead the eye into the space, a wicker stool and carpet and throws.

Testure was added to bedrooms and bathroom and plants brought in to lead the eye out to East Hill from this tiny house on one of Hastings most popular residential streets.
